07 Why Don't You Love Me

Hank Williams

This is the first of a three song set that’s either by or about the legendary Hank Williams. To many current country fans these early Hank Williams recordings, sound strange or dated especially with the sound of the lap steel (see picture of a lap steel, below). However, thousands of Hank’s faithful fans still call it the only real country music and would join in with Joey & Hank singing, Country Music Where’d You Go? To them the “silent falling star” is country music itself, or should I say herself?

The “steel” guitar of today is almost exclusively the pedal steel variety, though Nashville musicians have dropped the “pedal”, it’s 17 simply known as “steel.”
