Janie Frickie
Janie Frickie may be a name you don’t know, unless you’re an old country fan. Her song Down To My Last Broken Heart, is a real clever piece of writing in a time where titles were often double-entendre, a play on words, as, You Made A Wanted Man Of Me, Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue, Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You, and probably the best, Heaven’s Just A Sin Away, sung by Jeannie Kendall. Back then, even the publishers had double-entendre names, i.e. Tom Collins.
